Terms of Use

This is a general-purpose template. Please have a qualified lawyer review it before publishing, particularly the billing, liability, and termination sections.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Recipene (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does

Recipene lets you paste a link to a recipe published elsewhere on the web and view a cleaned-up, ad-free version of that recipe's ingredients and instructions. We do not own, author, or claim rights to the underlying recipe content - we only reformat what is already publicly available at the link you provide, and we link back to the original source on every result.

3. Accounts

You may create a free account to save recipes to a personal collection, currently capped at 20 saved recipes. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.

4. Premium subscriptions & billing

Premium removes the saved-recipe limit for $1.99/month or $14.99/year, billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your Account page; your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to scrape, republish, or resell third-party recipe content at scale, to attempt to bypass rate limits or security controls, or to use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

6. Third-party content

Recipes displayed through the Service originate from third-party websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or safety of that content - see our Disclaimer.

7. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recipene is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
